Strong Partnership for Elite Development: ESC Dresden Partners with My Ice Hockey

Dresden / Zurich – The Dresdner Eislöwen Juniors are taking the next step in professionalizing their youth development program and are now relying on the digital platform My Ice Hockey.
The Dresden Eislöwen Juniors rank among the top youth development programs in ice hockey nationwide. Particularly noteworthy: Dresden was the first DEL2 club ever to achieve the “5-Star Plus” designation awarded by the German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB) and the professional leagues. This puts the program on par with established DEL heavyweights such as Mannheim, Cologne, and Berlin.

We are very pleased that ESC Dresden has decided to use our My Ice Hockey platform. The close collaboration with the German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB) was also a decisive factor here.
My Ice Hockey proves to be a crucial tool, especially during the demanding certification process for the DEB 5-Star Program: Required documentation, training data, load management, and development records can be accessed accurately and completely with just a few clicks. By aligning with the national training concept, athletic directors, coaching staff, and athletes alike benefit from streamlined, transparent processes—from season and training planning all the way to daily communication.

“Over many years, we’ve gradually shaped Dresden into a top training hub for German ice hockey. Anyone who wants to operate in the 5-Star-Plus category on a long-term basis must also create professional conditions off the ice. The requirements for documentation, certification, and athlete development have increased enormously. My Ice Hockey perfectly consolidates exactly these processes in one place. This noticeably lightens the load on our entire coaching staff and gives us the freedom to focus 100 percent on the individual development of our young players.”
— Thomas Barth, Athletic Director, ESC Dresden

“I’m very pleased that we have the opportunity to collaborate with one of the most dynamic youth development clubs in Germany and to support them in their day-to-day operations with our professional digital platform, My Ice Hockey.”
— Christian Franz, My Ice Hockey (Contact Person for Germany)

By implementing My Ice Hockey, ESC Dresden is setting the stage to significantly minimize the administrative burden of documentation—so that coaches’ valuable time remains exactly where it belongs: training and developing talent both on and off the ice.
